A family of 3 girls got their baby boy!

So, I am planning to start posting more blog posts that give you a better idea of what a gallery from me looks like. Fewer words on these blog posts and more photos. Less fluff and more inspiration. This colorful newborn session jumped off the computer screen as I edited it, and I was just dying to share it.

This particular family had a special little nugget I got to photograph. After 3 little girls, this family got their little baby brother. These girls were in all new territory and absolutely infatuated with him. They also loved being in front of the camera, so we definitely had fun.

So, here is a little more of what I captured.

Vibrant home, vibrant family

This family’s home was filled with lots of neutrals with pops of BOLD colors. It was starkly different than most things on my feed, but refreshing nonetheless. It made the images so bright, unique, and fun.

I think what really ties this whole session together is not only that the home has colors like blue, green, and yellow, but that it ties so nicely together with the colorful spirit of the family. I mean look at them. This session was vibrant and exciting. You don’t need me to tell you that though. It’s evident from this family’s session!

Usually, before sessions, I try to walk around the home and find unique places to photograph as part of the story of their home and their family. Take these bookshelves for example; they were beautifully organized by color with a cute little frame up above and vibrant floral pillows! Plus, it doubled as a small nook to smoosh those 4 sweet siblings together.

Creating a colorful newborn session is definitely a bold choice, and it is not everyone’s cup of tea. However, if you’re the type of person who likes to sprinkle color wherever they go I say “Don’t be afraid of it”! You probably know your way around colors. Adding color to your photo session is a great way to liven up the photos in a way that makes sense to you.
